Thanks to Legend Toastmasters members, Josh and  Justin

full time student

Linguisitcs

Toastmasters events

later
=="

natural beauty???????

Henry Ford
Thomas Edison,
Beethoven
Florence Nightingale
Steve Jobs

Before this, I was anxious when I faced difficulties in life!

In sum,

Henry Ford:

Thomas Edison

Thomas Edison:

Thomas

Beethoven:

Beethoven

Florence Nightingale:

Sandy
You can do it.

[Legend] (Jul-Dec) 2009-2010

June, 2009 Discharge and installation ceremonies

My first time to see the big event of Legend TMC.
Actually, I didn't know them very well, but, I was moved by the atmosphere, there.
Compared with my 4th year journey in Legend TMC, now, I was too picky toward the details, as in officers were not following the procedures, members were not coming, sister clubs didn't support us.......etc.
I guessed these kinds of questions did exist that time, I meant, back at 2009, and still exited till now.
The only things differed would be my perspectives toward these situation.
In the past, I was not the officer, and I didn't take the responsibilities, thus, I felt happy that time.
As  I followed Alvin Lee through the leadership track the past 3 years, I started to feel "uncomfortable" toward Toastmasters Events.
I needed to deal with this!

 July, 2009 meeting

It was my first time to delivery my speech at Legend TMC.
That was my 6th speech, with the objective of "vocal variety", speech title "Sandy, Toastmasters."
Actually, May 2009- June 2010, I was the dual members of Legend and Legacy Toastmasters  clubs,so, I did delivery my C6 speech the 2 consecutive days.
One was the Friday of July at Legacy TMC.
That time was the beginning of my "my rush hour from Taipei to Neili on the weekends"
=="
But, that time, I was having fun.

 Aug, 2009 Meeting
Due to our member, Rebecca Sung, would gave an lecture at the Taoyuan city govenorment in the afternoon of the same meeting, thus, we moved the meeting to the morning. 10 A.M.
However, we had a great time.
Lots of support, interesting topics, and we just cherished the time of being together.
We had 5 different gatherings at the same day:
1. regular meeting at the 10;
2. lunch time at 12-13;
3. Rushed to the government and listened to Rebecca's lecture;
4. Went to eat ice ;
5. Heading back toward the meeting venue.

That time was fun.

Sept, 2009 Meeting
Henson and Justin's birth month.
It's the first time for me to see people celebrate the members or participants' birthday in Toastmaster's meeting, with the dolls and kid's stuff.
I didn't know lots of members had already wrote down the wishes for Justin through Cody and Oxford's mail, then, those wishes turned into a real book for Justin.

That day, I delivered my C7 speech with the objective of "research your topic", title "my [i] and [I]".
Talking about the pronunciation.
Again, I delivered the same speech for 2 times, one was the Friday of Sept, at Legacy TMC; the other was the Saturday of Sept, at Legend TMC.
I started to get to know: individual evaporator's evaluation would differ even to the same speech, location, age, and experience, and taste....all counted.

Photo?

Dec, 2009 Meeting noice from FB

Remember my table topic session hosted on Oct 3 (the mid-autumn festival)?

Last Sat, when I went home, I saw the "black box: contained every one's "I CAN’T " ", I realized that I need to "remind" all of you that we will open the box in March 7, 2010.

So, I want to propose the meeting theme of Dec 5 to "I can't, part two"

Just like school-time, I will give you a midterm exam on Dec 5.

Everyone, please send me one photo (file), with some explanations on it, before the meeting.
The photo will be related to "I CAN'T……"
(That why I call it “part two”)

For example, mine is in the attached photo on facebook.
It's an old woman in wheelchair....
I can't get my knees better. That's Sandy's "I can,'t"

As to the rest of it, let’s figure it out on Dec 5.

Miss I can’t (my C4 speech title)
Sandy Tseng

Also, Area E1 Governor, Vicky Li, hosted the Division E X'mas party.
We had a dinner to thank all the crew.
In a very cold winter evening.
Later on, Alvin took over the Area E1 Governor, and then, Division E's governor, the consecutive 2 years.
We didn't host this kind of celebrate dinners anymore.
I missed this kind of celebration, the purpose of it, was to let the crew gather together to express how them felt, and enjoyed the glory.

[Legend] (Jan-Jun) 2009-2010

From My Facebook event page's message to Legend TMC.

Jan, 2010 Meeting

How is your 2009?
How’s your Christmas?
What you are going to do in 2010?

I just heard a bad news: “one friend of Legacy TM has being hospitalized since early Dec, and she is still in the critical condition now”

Sad story.
Other than TM, we all have lots of things to do.

Yet, we are lucky to grow together in TM society.

So, come to Legend in Jan 9, 2010.

Sandy Tseng

 Feb, 2010 Meeting

My friends

WoW~ Chinese New Year is coming.
What happened to “New years resolution, you just made in Legend’s first meeting?”
As a General Evaluator, I did record what you said,
“4 talked about TMC;
2 talked about holiday;
and the other talked about relationship, job, and health ”

Hope you are making progress in your new year’s plan.

Last time we have 2 A-level speakers, Kevin Lin and Tobie Openshaw. Both did the great job that I asked them for the part two of their speeches. Thanks to Henson for recording Tobie’s speech so that we can see the tips again.

June, 2010. Discharge and installation ceremonies.

This is the second discharge and installation ceremonies of Legend TMC that I've attended.
Not like the previous one, Jun 2009, I knew more all Legend TMC.
I attended all the meetings, and I started to attend Division E's events, like, contest, training, and party.
Almost all the things for me were new, young, and fun.
The age of the participants of Division E, the energy level of the events, and the strong connection between the big family.

That day, June 2010, was also the graduation season.
Justin Wu came with his "costume", symbol ed his graduation.
Also, implied the truing point of his live.

This is the last meeting under Alvin's turn, and the next president was Cody Huang.
Alvin's a capable, smart, efficient manager.
He always replied the mail and never showed "discourage" when the officers turn their backs toward him.
He was really decent, nice-temper, and kind to people.
I missed him, these days.
He left TM last year, since 2010.
:(

[Legend] (Jul-Dec) 2010-2011

When Cody Huang was the present of Legend TMC, 2010-2011.

The very first meeting was kind of chaotic, for the venue issue.
We hosted the meeting at Ryan's community's KTV room, so, in the intermission, we sing for 10 mins.
Also, I delivered my special occasion manual, receiving an award, "Competent Leader Award."
My very first advanced communication manual speech.
Manual: The special occasion manual,
Project: Accepting an Award,
Speech title: Competent Leader Award

TM of the day, Alvin, could help me to present the award to me before my speech. I will bring my Competent Communicator certificate as the CL certificate. I'd like to share my gratitude with Legend TMC.

Also, it's the first time for James Lee, the educational and marketing of Division E, to visit Legend.
At the second, he showed his real opinion to me, "upfront."
Frankly speaking, this meeting didn't run very well.
Lack of the meeting quality, however, everyone was having fun.
Members came to support.
Like live, high low high low.

Also, it's my idea to think about open the "wishes box" for Cody and Alvin in Novemember meeting, thus, below is the mail that I've sent to them:

"Dear Alvin, Cody

Remember the letters from the Legend members in Legend discharge and installation ceremony in June?
I asked the members to write down something for both of you.

Now, I am going to host a variety session to open these letters for you. ( Nov 6 meeting. 15 mins)
Since we just win two trophies in Div. E contest, and plus, Alice is going to complete in Fall Conference.
I think it's time for us to open the box to see the letters together.

Basically, I would ask the people to read the letters to you. So far, I get 22 letters. But, I don't have much names on the envelopes. So, I am kind of want to open the letters to see who write the letters. Thus, I can put the name on the envelope. I will invite them to come up the stage to read their wishes to you.

As you two listen, you must have lots of feelings. So, I'd like to invite you two say something in return. 2 mins for both of you as the ending. Please prepare a little bit about the feedback of being the president for Legend TMC. It doesn't has to be cliche, just how you feel. OK?

See you.

Also, new comer, Alice Lee, was willing to take the challenge to complete the district level humorous speech contest. The first year of her TM! WOW!
Below is the mail from president Cody to Legend TMC:

"Dear Legend members,
Here is the big news! Alice just make up her mind, she is going to compete in the national stage on behalf of division E! Being legend members, we have to support her, from draft modification, delivery design to physical conference attendance. Since Alice said it's the first time to compete, she need us to help to do the brainstorming, to make her speech even more interesting. We'll also arragne the practice time, hope if you are available, please do come and share your ideas and feedbacks to her speech. Besides, more and more members are now asking me about going to the fall conference, so if you are interested in fall conference, do tell me! ^ ^ Alice is sooooooooo cool!
Best Regards,

Cody "
Also, from the Governor of Div. E ,Kevin's mail to all:

"Dear Cody and Alice,
I would like to express my congratulations to both of you. I feel proud to be a member of Legend club. We really have great talents. And especially Alice, this is your first time and you won the prize! You slightly modified your speech and it made your stage performance even more brilliant. We all recognize your improvement and enjoy the excitement when your name was announced. Cody, your performance was outstanding too. When you delivered the super fine evaluation, you totally didn’t seem to be the Cody I know. (Tell us the truth. Who are you?) I believe you must have spent a lot of time in preparation and rehearsal. Now both of your hard work is all paid off. I feel wonderful for the outcome and feel happy for you.
